Here's a elegant and feminine set! I hand sculpted this 6 1/4" long hair wood stick pair out of one of the most rare and exotic woods in the world, Pink Ivory (Rhamnus zeyheri). The centerpiece of these hair sticks are stunning Opal cabochons in a simple and elegant handmade sterling silver settings. I chose this set of opals because they have gorgeous fire with warm golden, peach, and pink highlights to compliment the pink ivory wonderfully. The pictures don't nearly do justice to the amazing colors in these opals!

Pink Ivory - no, not the tusk from a pink elephant, :) but a beautiful wood from from Mozambique, Africa. Pink Ivory, with its watermelon pink coloring and lovely grain figure, is extremely rare and very difficult to find. It's called "the royal wood of the Zulus" because of its importance in local customs.
